FASSEN
Three-Drawer Chest
The Three-Drawer Chest by Sophie Taeuber-Arp is a re-edition of a piece originally designed by the artist in 1929 for her studio in Meudon.
Developed by Fassen in partnership with the Fondation Arp Taeuber, the piece reflects Taeuber-Arp’s pioneering approach to abstraction and her ability to move seamlessly between art, architecture, textiles, and design.
Its simple geometric volume and restrained proportions translate her avant-garde language into a functional object, embodying her belief that art should extend into everyday life.
Crafted from solid Douglas fir and pine veneer panels, the chest is finished using a traditional linseed-oil coating with pigment.
