The Catenary Lamp draws inspiration from the elegant geometry of overhead railway catenary systems. Designed for Charlotte Taylor, its sculptural silhouette combines architectural precision with the warmth of handcrafted materials.
Each pendant is composed of handcrafted ceramic elements produced by EngPiplard Studio, paired with stainless steel details. Balancing technical references with artisanal craftsmanship, the lamp creates a refined and distinctive presence.

About the brand
Simon+ is a Paris-based object design studio founded by designer Simon Dupety. His practice explores the dialogue between craftsmanship and contemporary production, developing lighting and furniture that bridge traditional savoir-faire with new ways of making. Working across collectible design, commissions and industrial collaborations, Simon oversees every stage of the creative process, from the initial concept to production. Each project reflects a thoughtful exploration of materials, techniques and the stories embedded within objects. Following Simon Dupety's Grand Prix Design Parade Toulon 2025 at Villa Noailles, MATTER and SHAPE was proud to present his work during the 2026 edition of the fair, celebrating a new generation of designers whose practice combines technical excellence with a singular creative vision.
