DAISUKE YAMAMOTO
Daisuke Yamamoto, born and raised in Tokyo with a background in interior design and architecture, has focused his work on contemporary design and the relationship between object and architecture environment. Through extended awareness, experimental and conceptual reconsideration of people, materials, technology, social environment, history, and aesthetics, the studio aims to blur the boundaries between art and function, pursuing design possibilities around people, objects, and social environment.
For MATTER and SHAPE (2025), Yamamoto transforms materials recovered from demolition sites into furniture as part of a product series called FLOW, featuring a new pink and gold shifting colour palette inspired by Charlotte Perriand’s voyage to Japan. This act of repair is aimed to reconsider and redefine the act of restoration, to explore the possibilities of industrial waste and of circular resources.
