Smiley is a collaboration between 22 System, a suite of integrated electrical outlets designed by Bocci and Paris based architect and designer India Mahdavi. The collaboration features a bespoke colorway for the outlet face, elevating everyday connections with a playful approach to form and color. Smiley is a fluorescent yellow outlet that adds joy and synergy to the 22 System’s outlets and provides a subtle vibration to a room by standing out instead of trying to be invisible.
About the brand
22 System is a patented innovation in the field of electrical products and accessories conceptualized by Omer Arbel and launched in 2009. A marriage of technology and design, 22 System’s suite of flush-mounted electrical and data devices can be mudded into drywall or set into a variety of rigid finish materials – including stone, millwork, tile, glass and concrete. The innovation allows electrical accessories to match the care and aesthetic applied elsewhere in the design/build process. 22 System offers a solution to minimize visual noise and create a cohesive experience right down to the details – propelling a necessity to a luxury. Architect, designer and scenographer, India Mahdavi founded her Paris studio in 2000. Renowned for international projects spanning architecture, interiors, scenography and furniture design, her work blends comfort, elegance and humour into a joyful and cosmopolitan art de vivre.
