TOLIX
BRAIDED CHAIR
Buy nowReissued in 2024, the history of the Braided Chair T37 takes its roots in 1935, when the City of Paris issued public invitations to tender in preparation for the 24th Universal Exhibition of 1937 with the creation of the T37 Chair. In 1948, Xavier Pauchard imagined and perfected the braided motif, combining the lightness of its geometric lines and the finesse of its braiding, which contrasted with the durability and purity of steel. He then used this pattern in the seat of the timeless T37. The T37 Braided Chair was born.
