Design Parade Hyères, June 26 — 28, 2026
MATTER and SHAPE returned to Villa Noailles for its third consecutive year with a three-day program celebrating the 20th edition of Design Parade Hyères. The talks brought together architects, designers, former laureates and cultural figures.
The program opened with a cocktail at Pour Vous gallery, welcoming delegates, designers and industry leaders to celebrate the festival. Held alongside Archéologie du quotidien, an exhibition featuring more than thirty emerging designers from the region, the evening also marked the launch of MATTER and SHAPE’s first (talks) program at the Robert Mallet Stevens-designed modernist villa.
Centred on the theme Transmission, Mentors & Disciples, the talks reflected on the ways knowledge, craftsmanship and creative practices are passed from one generation to the next. Bringing together emerging talents and established voices, they considered how dialogue, mentorship and exchange continue to shape contemporary design.
As an official partner of the festival, MATTER and SHAPE continues to support emerging talent by inviting Tin Ayala, winner of the Design Parade Grand Prix in the Object Design category, to exhibit at the salon in Paris in March 2027, following Sacha Parent and Valentine Tiraboschi (2025) and Simon Dupety (2026).
Guest speakers included — India Mahdavi, Laura Gonzalez, Michela Pelizzari (P:S Agency), Thomas Takada, Simon Dupety, Hervé Lemoine (Mobilier national), Stanislas Colodiet, Edgar Jayet, Kim Anh Le Thi and Nawal Bakouri. Talks were moderated by Nic Monisse (Monocle), Dan Thawley and Marie Godfrain (IDEAT).
