MATTER and SHAPE (2026) playlist by Latency — sound as a material

Dedicated playlists curated by Latency featured an evolving musical sequence throughout the days of exhibition. The soundscape aimed to embody the spirit of Paris – its diversity, cultural intersections, and artistic innovation.

At MATTER and SHAPE, music is not considered as background but as a material in itself  something that structures perception, sets a rhythm and subtly influences the way space is experienced. In collaboration with Latency, a series of playlists was curated to accompany each moment of the salon, from the quiet intensity of the morning to the slower, more diffused energy of the end of the day. Each sound was selected with precision, not to dominate but to support, to create a continuous emotional landscape where visitors could move, think and feel differently. Because space is never only physical, it is also what you hear, what you absorb without noticing. Today, these playlists extend beyond the event and are now available on our official Spotify, offering a way to reconnect with the atmosphere of MATTER and SHAPE or to carry a fragment of it into everyday life.
