DiscoverThe Volkshaus furniture series was designed for the institution Volkshaus Basel in 2020, as part of their boutique hotel. Characterised by a clear, sculptural appearance, the intersecting X-shapes reveal a complex frame construction – a product of research and exploration into the possibilities and limitations of CNC precision cutting for traditional wooden joints, like those used in Japanese carpentry and architecture.
