Marco Guazzini, designer and creator of Marwoolus®, an innovative material made from recycled Carrara marble dust and Prato wool fibers that blends tradition and sustainability. Produced entirely by hand in Pietrasanta, Tuscany, Marwoolus® uses local resources to create unique products. Guazzini uses the material for one-of-a-kind pieces and collections.

For MATTER and SHAPE (2025), Guazzini will present a collection called “Motherboard,” inspired by the heart of computers, that celebrates the fusion of nature and technology. The inspiration comes from the transformation of remote work, made possible by computers. Just as the tracks of a printed circuit form intricate and repetitive geometries, the intertwined fibers of Marwoolus®—expressed in various shades—evoke a sense of chaotic fluidity and emotional warmth, contrasting with the linearity and clarity of the geometric forms of the objects.
